Role Overview: The Associate – US Payroll will be responsible for managing end-to-end payroll activities for US-based clients. This includes processing payroll, handling tax-related tasks, and ensuring compliance with US payroll regulations. The role requires strong knowledge of payroll tools and excellent communication skills to resolve employee queries efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end US payroll activities and ensure compliance with US tax regulations.
- Salary calculations based on various pay frequencies (weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly, and monthly).
- Process payroll for client employees, including setting up deductions, 401(k) contributions, deductions, and employer matching calculations, new hire onboarding, employee termination payroll processing, PTO, vacation, sick leave accruals, and leave management.
- Overtime (OT) calculations in accordance with federal and state labor laws.
- Handle I-9, W-4, W-2 forms, E-Verification, and amendment activities.
- Resolve employee queries via calls and emails.
- Utilize payroll tools such as ADP, PeopleSoft, Workday, Workforce, and QuickBooks.
- Prepare weekly and month-end reports.
- Collaborate with the team to meet quality parameters and turnaround times (TAT).
- Utilize advanced MS Excel skills, including VLOOKUP and Pivot tables.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in US payroll activities.
- Strong proficiency in English (written, comprehension, and speaking).
- Proficiency in MS Outlook and MS Excel.
- Any graduation degree.
